Lecture courses were given in 1996 on applied mathematics and computer science in three levels for undergraduate students. Topics of the courses were programming in C, C++ and in Fortran, foundations of theoretical computer science, applications for microcomputers, operating systems, numerical methods, optimization, genetic and neural computing with applications, and iterative methods for large and sparse linear systems of equations.
A part of the courses for undergraduate and graduate students were given in English by foreign visitors. In 1996 Professor M. Rudnicki talked about genetic and neural computing with applications and Dr. Jan Brandts talked about Krylov subspace methods.
