Welcome!Optimization and optimal control utilizing numerical simulations are applied in a broad range of disciplines in industries to control systems and improve designs while game theory offers a way to model and optimize complicated economical and societal interactions. Nowadays the advances in many sectors are in large part due to these techniques. There are many challenges to employ optimization, optimal control, and game theory in several application areas like Information Processing, Manufacturing, Medicine, Environment Sciences. Reducing time, cost, and undesire side effects while satisfying financial, safety, ecological and many other constraints is a major concern for the decision makers. New application areas and increasing needs to consider human factors demand novel innovative optimization, control and game theoretical approaches. The goal of SCOMA Seminar is to distribute and transfer the knowledge between many disciplines ranging from applied mathematics and information technology to several application areas by fostering the collaboration between basic researchers and application groups working on optimization and simulation. One of the SCOMA's major aims is to educate young scientists and engineers from universities, research laboratories and industries to embrace the enormous possibilities of combining multiple disciplines leading to enhanced technologies. This event is intended to support the above objectives. It is not limited to industrial applications but deals also with other societal and economical areas, such as Life Sciences and Environmental problems. |
