Hoksotin project group developed a prototype of a graphical user interface (Meggie) for preprocessing, analyzing and visualization of a MEG measurement data. MEG (magnetoencephalography) is a method of measuring magnetic fields caused by electrical activity in the brain. By analyzing the data accumulated by the measurements, the type and location of the brain activity can be discerned. The customer of the software was Jyväskylä Centre for Interdisciplinary Brain Research that locates in University of Jyväskylä.
Meggie removes the noise from the MEG measurement data providing an analyze process that won't be affected by unwanted factors. Visualizing some of the most important steps of the process is made possible. The user is allowed to manually select parameters in all phases throughout the process for his/her unique research goals.
The software was developed with Python 2.7, PyQt, Eclipse, EPD, MaxFilter, MNE, Matplotlib and Doxygen.
