EUROGEN 2007 is one of the ECCOMAS Thematic Conference of European Community in Computational Methods for Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) in association with ERCOFTAC targeting industrial and societal applications . This event is focused mainly on Evolutionary and Deterministic Methods for Design , Optimization and Control. Its format consists of plenary lectures, Keynote lectures and contributed papers with proceedings.

In the context of the two finnish MASI and DESIGN programmes launched recently by TEKES and due to the increasing interest of industries to multidisciplinary software for the design and manufactoring of complex products , we have decided to organize and embedd in EUROGEN07 a One Open Industrial Day (OID) on industrial optimization case studies problems in Aeronautics, Transport, Telecommunications and Material Sciences entitled /« How to foster interactions of academy and industry for the collaborative implementation of computational multiphysics modeling, design and manufacturing »/.This session will take place on June 12, 2007.

. These case studies will be presented by senior technologists/managers from large or small industries or governmental institutions, and will be followed by a general discussion.
